Residential Recycling Drop-Off Locations
Canal Winchester Ohio residents may take recyclables to various drop-off locations throughout the area, including Waste Management’s Recycling Center at 1006 Walnut St. and the city’s two recycling bins located downtown.
The freestanding recycle container at the Waste Management facility is situated within the site’s public parking area, and is available to Canal Winchester residents 24 hours a day at no charge.
The city’s downtown bins, located next to Stradley Park, are emptied twice daily on Mondays and Fridays and once per day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. No pickup service is provided on weekends. Please do not deposit trash in the recycle bins. Please break down cardboard boxes. If the bins are full, please do not litter by leaving recyclables outside of the bins.
Both locations accept a wide variety of recyclable materials, however, due to a current downturn in the need for recycled glass products, Waste Management requests that no glass be deposited in the recycle containers at either location. Instead, residents may include glass in their regular trash.
