  • Prescription Drugs
  • E- Waste (electronics, computers, tvs, etc.)

What NOT to bring:

  • Waste from businesses
  • Containers larger than 5 gallons
  • Explosives
  • Ammunition
  • Radioactive Waste
  • Compressed Gas Cylinders

Water & Latex based paint– remove the lid from the can and after it has completely dried dispose of it in your regular trash. Or offer to donate good, usable, neutral colored paint to Tooele City to use to cover graffiti. Call 435-843-2100.

Used Oil– visit Utah Dept. of Environmental Quality Used Oil Collection Centers

Compact Fluorescent light bulbs– Compact bulbs ONLY, Home Depot 222 E. 2400 North, Tooele 435-843-7530

Batteries– all alkaline batteries, power tool batteries, lawn mower batteries, Home Depot 222 E. 2400 North, Tooele 435-843-7530

Antifreeze: Individuals outside Salt Lake County are also welcome to dispose of waste at the Salt Lake Valley Solid Waste Management Facility (NOT at the Trans Jordan Landfill) for the same fees the SLVSWMF is charged to dispose of this waste. Antifreeze, batteries, fluorescent light tubes, fuels, gasoline, oil, paint, pesticides, transmission fluid, yard care chemicals, and other chemicals.
